Darren Kennedy
Born and raised Cork City, Darren Kennedy has been a chef for the last 12 years, working in his home city while fitting in Culinary Arts degrees along the way, and then heading off to London for five years to broaden his experience and hone his craft. Over the years he has developed a real love for rustic cooking, using local and seasonal ingredients. He was given his first head chef position at Brunswick House, in Vauxhall, where he worked for 3 years before returning to take up the position of Head Chef at St. Francis Provisions in Kinsale, Co. Cork Here he continues his farm–to–table approach to cooking.
It was one of only two restaurants that we managed to visit during the Covid pandemic, and where we had an outstandingly delicious and memorable meal, thanks to Barbara, Darren and the crew.
